Here is something that has been fascinating me lately:
KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #68: Snyde-lympics - Ken & Dana return with a special live show direct from the Miami Anime Supercon. It’s raw, it’s wild, it’s unpredictable, and we guarantee it’s almost listenable. Well, barely listenable. We’ll be back proper next week… Promise.Do you remember this one? I listened to it recently... or at least I tried to.
It's a live episode from 2008. As Ken said on the next episode, the mic on the recorder was picking up the sound (not the external mic they spoke into.)
What you get is an echo-y episode, where you can hear a girl in the front row far clearer than Dana or Ken.
In addition to Dana and Ken there are a few guests. You hear Widgett Walls throughout and you definitely hear Jay Edwards introduced.
Here are some of the comments from the post on asitecalledfred.com:
Tyler Says:November 7th, 2008 at 3:31 pmWow, this is pretty ruff. I was there and can barely tell what’s going on.
Jake Says:November 7th, 2008 at 4:51 pmGood grief guys! Where was the mic during this whole thing? It sounds like it was recorded from a ventilation shaft in the ceiling. This does not live up to the award winning Snyecast name!
CharlesT Says:November 7th, 2008 at 10:34 pmNow that I’ve listened. I have to agree the audio was pretty bad. Sadly, for the multi-tasker’s podcast, I found myself having to listen so closely to what was going on that I couldn’t do anything else. Even then, it was still only brief moments that I understood what was being said. Still, a snydecast is a snydecast.
ramon Says:November 8th, 2008 at 9:20 pmwow this is to this podcast what revolution #9 was to the white album, an experimental masterpiece. A complete innovation in the world of podcasting, it was borderline white noise for the most part with faint notions of dana and ken and a few other people throughout. The best way to describe it would have to be, art.
sam Says:November 8th, 2008 at 10:21 pmlisten to the last couple of minutes it’s easier to hear because we were closer to the mics.
Here is what I wonder.... is there anything that can be done to fix this? Is there an audio engineer out there that can remaster this or something?
Let's hope someone is out there will the skills to resurrect this episode!
Pull up KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #68: Snyde-lympics run it through an equalizer or something! We need to hear this!
History has been recorded... poorly.

someone needs to transcribe it and then ken and dana (and guests) can re-record it and release it as a snydequel
