Seriously, how does one even CONCEIVE of a sweater like this:

It looks like a cross between a superhero costume and grandma's potholder (the thing that you use to hold a hot cooking dish... not the thing your grandma stores her weed in.)
Doc was well known as the bandleader on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show which was basically the equivalent of Jay/Dave/Conan all rolled into one. Probably better.
