Cook E. Jarr show ended

On the newest Snydecast, KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #224: Shanghai Surprise, Ken asks what Dana would show him in Las Vegas. It's not the first time the question has been asked:

On KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #185: Semi-Elect a listener question about what to do in Las Vegas. Dana mentions a few different things.

He mentions Musashi Japanese Steak House (3900 Paradise Rd  Las Vegas, NV 89169 • 702-735-4744), he mentions Popavich (the crazy cat man) and he mentions Cook E. Jar.

According to Las Vegas Leisure Guide:

Cook E. Jarr has been a lounge fixture on the Las Vegas scene since he came here in the early 80's and decided to make it his home. Always fresh as a singer and entertainer Jarr has a unique, anything goes, style all his own, combining music as diverse as 60's Classics, disco, country and even todays hip-hop hits with his own trademark sound effects, puns, antics and special effects, punctuated with his tales of "old" Vegas. Las Vegas is pretty much the only place one could expect to find someone as... "Vegas Baby" as Cook E. Jarr.

Cook E. Jarr creates one of the best parties with the best music in town. If you don't find yourself uncontrollably jumping up to dance, just sit back and enjoy, but don't miss what many people come to Las Vegas expecting to see, because he delivers.

Here is a video from his show:

Recently Dana pointed out to me that the show has come to an end.

From The Las Vegas Sun:

Singing, joking and grooving to the end, Cook E. Jarr closes with a flourish at Harrah’s

Cook E. Jarr is playing right now. He’s playing out the string, playing the fool, playing the music box in the corner, all at The Piano Bar at Harrah’s.

The Jarr is finished here, as of the end of this set, which is to be about 6 p.m. He has performed “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker, “You May Be Right” by Billy Joel and “Bust a Move” by Young MC. He is going out with a flourish, hitting the “woof, woof!” mechanism on his music machine and barking right along with his indefatigable voice.
