Ken's favorite tweets (and what we can learn from them)

Ken has 47 thousand tweets. Within that there are 2,550 photos and videos. He has 11 thousand followers... and 11 favorites.

11 tweets that he clicked "favorite" on. For some reason Twitter only shows 10. Let's take a look:

1.
John Kovalic is a British born cartoonist. It is not clear why this tweet ended Ken's 17 month drought of favorites. Maybe he likes cheese.

2.
Ken doesn't drink. But he writes. Perhaps this is why.

3.
We all want to see Dave Foley naked, I suppose.

4.
Alright, check them out: The Inbetweeners, Alan Partridge & Psychoville.
5.
I've never put a Robin Williams video on this site. I'm not starting now. You're welcome.
6.
I was not aware Ken was a Twin Peaks fan, but I do remember when David Lynch ruled 2 episodes of The Snydecast. If you don't remember, here's a clue: Michael Jordan. If you STILL don't remember, you're lucky.
7.
I tried this. I assume he meant Tommy Tutone. My life involved dialing 867-5309 a whole lot.
9.
Fair enough.
10.

Nevermore.

Which Tiki Bird are you?

On KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #214: It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad Whirl Ken asks Dana to choose which Tiki Bird he is.
From wiki: The attraction opened in an era when all things Polynesian were popular and was an immediate hit. It houses a Hawaiian-themed musical show "hosted" by four lifelike macaws whose plumage matches their implied countries of origin. "José" is red, white and green and speaks with a Mexican accent, voiced by Wally Boag;

"Michael" is white and green with an Irish brogue, voiced by Fulton Burley;
"Pierre" is blue, white and red, and has a French accent courtesy of the voice talents of Ernie Newton;
Red, black and white "Fritz" has a German accent provided by Thurl Ravenscroft, who also voices Maori god Tangaroa near the attraction's entrance.

Dana chose Michael. Solid choice.

Puerto Rican food

Ahmed Nieves' email was read on KEN P.D. SNYDECAST #214: It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad Whirl.

He asked if Dana or Ken had ever had Puerto Rican food.

Ken read from this site: http://www.topuertorico.org/culture/foodrink.shtml

Two of the best parts was hearing Ken try and pronounce "sopón de pollo con arroz" and hearing Dana say "soups loom large" in his scariest voice.

Ken says he hasn't had any of the food on the site. Dana says he had several including the Fried Brain Sandwich, a St. Louis delicacy.

From wiki: A fried-brain sandwich is generally a sandwich with sliced calves' brains on sliced bread. Thinly sliced fried slabs on white toast became ubiquitous on menus in St. Louis, Missouri, after the rise of the city's stockyards in the late 1880s, although demand there has so dwindled that only a handful of restaurants still offer them. But they remain popular in the Ohio River valley, where they are served heavily battered on hamburger buns. In Evansville, Indiana, they are still offered at a couple of "mom and pop" eateries, specifically the Hilltop Inn, and remain a favorite dish, featured at the city's annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Kissner's, a traditional workman's taproom in Defiance, Ohio still owned by the founding family, has offered what their menu now calls their "infamous" brain sandwich since 1928; for years, one instructor at Defiance College would famously hold the last meeting of each class at Kissner's where they would drink beer and he would offer to buy a brain sandwich for any student who would care to try one. Most people declined his offer. Brains from cows over 30 months old at slaughter are no longer permitted in human food in the United States (Hefling, 2004). Some restaurants have taken to serving pigs' brains instead of cows' brains due to BSE concerns. But as pigs' brains are substantially smaller than cows' brains, the amount of preparation required for each sandwich increases. Each brain must be cleaned before being sliced and pigs' brains produce fewer slices.
